hi lovely author (idk if we should call you avery),
ive been anxiously awaiting the next installment, aka doing my usual routine of refreshing the website every day and rereading every book. the sneak peeks have me kicking my feet in anticipation for the all the juicy drama to come.
to maybe quell some of my restlessness i wanted to ask: how much of triloka is true to the existing mythology? literally where did you get the idea to make this story? and a parting request, can we please get an au where ezra and ladon grow up together? i think the whole younger sibling looking up and vying for the older siblings approval trope is so cute. i feel sick knowing we were robbed from their relationship growing and flourishing </3.
anyways thank you for your willingness to share your talent and good luck writing!
Heya Lovely Bri,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m so glad to hear you are looking forward to the release of Book 4! A few others also reached out to express their excitement (a huge thank you to you all). As much as I’d love to give a formal release date, we’re still quite a bit away from the finish line. Book 4 will be longer than Book 3 (I know, I hadn’t thought it possible, either), and with a full-time job, I can only steal time on the weekends to chip away at it. I had hoped to release Immortal before the end of 2025, but that is still a moving target. More to come!
With that out of the way, let’s answer your questions!
how much of triloka is true to the existing mythology? literally where did you get the idea to make this story? and a parting request, can we please get an au where ezra and ladon grow up together?
My initial vision for Triloka centered exclusively on a young man attending a military academy. The anime/manga “Ghost 07” was actually a strong influence on Triloka’s conception. It completely spiraled and expanded in a different direction when I decided to research and incorporate mythology into the storyline. I would say Triloka is loosely based on existing Hindu mythology. As we explore Svarga in Book 4, however, I’ll be drawing on many more elements from the existing mythology, while also adapting some elements to fit the main plot of the series.
Regarding a possible AU: I do have an interest in exploring alternative universes as well as other side projects set in the Triloka universe. I can’t say for sure what those will be just yet, but it’s possible one may feature more Ezra & Ladon interactions. You’re right to say they were robbed of establishing a solid sibling relationship (thanks, Agni). They were both lonely children; they would have benefited from having each other around. Ezra would have made a great, protective older brother.
Thanks again for your sweet message, as well as for your patience with Book 4’s release. We are due for another sneak peek here shortly, aren’t we? 😉
