[Bri Ask:] Happy triloka 4 eve!! im soooo ready to get my hands on this book and im sure you are as excited as us readers for it to finally be released to the world.
i was wondering how self publishing this major length narrative has been for you. it must take so much time and great attention to detail to ensure continuity and at least to my knowledge, you kinda came out of nowhere lol. there is so much passion in a project that could have made no noise (no offense💀) and i only heard about your books through word of mouth. maybe you write in other modes professionally and had that confidence to begin with but it still does feel like a leap of faith. how does it feel to have grown a loyal group of readers who anxiously await new material despite very little advertising? does it feel like all the effort has paid off?
Hello, Bri! Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for the late response.
It certainly does take an exhaustive amount of time and focus to self-publish Triloka. I’d say it eats up about 90% of my free time outside of my full-time job (thank god I have zero life outside work 😉). This last installment was especially difficult to push through, but I’ve been fortunate to work every step of the way alongside Veronika, who has enough positivity and optimism to carry both of us. I was also fortunate enough that a few loyal readers agreed to beta-read Part IV (Amélie, Flavie, Madhi, and Kavea). Their help was greatly appreciated.
I used to write on fanfiction platforms, so self-publishing isn’t so much a leap of faith as it is a familiar venture…only it needed to be much cleaner =) It’s still a very humbling and vulnerable experience to put your hard work officially out there. That being said, to address your question, it means the world to me that I do have a loyal following despite the lack of advertising and promotions 😉 You guys certainly make it worthwhile to continue on this journey, and your support and comments always make it a more enjoyable experience (it also lights a fire under my ass).
